King Sound, Western Australia, Australia
 Click for full sized image
This image displays the King Sound and Dampier land of Western Australia. It can be seen that the rivers feeding into Stokes Bay and King Sound produce a great deal of visible sediment, visible sand and soil carried along by a river and deposited elsewhere. The Sound is one of the few places along the coastline of Western Australia that provided a safe harbor for vessels during colonization times. Since then the harbor in King Sound has grown significantly, also contributing the amount of pollution and sediment present in the surrounding waters.
