 Click for full sized image This portion of Kazakhstan shows the border the country shares with China, featuring a large part of the Zaysan Koli, a major lake that is at the mouth of many rivers. The Ishim and Irtysh rivers flow north through Russia to the Arctic Ocean. In the composite image, there is ice present on the surface of the lake on the left hand side, which appears lighter in color than the rest of the lake. |
