The Corinth Canal crosses the Isthmus of Corinth connecting the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf and shortens the sea voyage from the Adriatic to Peiraiefs. Greece is one of the most seismically active areas in the world, and within the country, the Gulf of Corinth is home to some of the most seismic activity. |
