    Students build familiarity with ISS EarthKAM's unique perspective of the world by considering what objects look like when viewed from above.

  • Earth Images BINGO (pdf)
    Students will enjoy playing BINGO with a twist while getting acquainted with different points of view of features on Earth. Print out the ten variations on the BINGO boards here: 1-3, 4-6, 7-10
Earth Science and Geography

  • Delta, Delta, Where is the Delta? (pdf)
    Students identify features of deltas, compare deltas from around the world, and understand how they form.

  • Where There is Smoke, is There a Volcano? (pdf)
    Students will discover Earth's most volatile land formation while they analyze images of volcanoes taken from space.

  • Map Skills
    Readings and activities provide students with fundamental map concepts that will be useful in image investigations.

  • Estimation, Sampling, and Beyond (pdf)
    Using estimation and sampling techniques, students learn to determine the number and size of square crops in a farmland image without having to count or measure every square.
