University of California, San Diego
The ISS EarthKAM program is based at the University of California, San Diego. Here, undergraduate students and their Program Advisors maintain their web site, their software and process and route image requests from the middle schools to Mission Control at Johnson Space Center. During a space flight, the Mission Operations Center (MOC) at UCSD is staffed with students who monitor the onboard camera round the clock. During such a mission, middle schools receive images, information and updates about the practical and educational aspects of the flight.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration
The mission of NASA's Education Program is to use NASA's inspiring goals,
specialized workforce and world-class facilities to collaborate with the
education community to jointly generate and communicate knowledge and
support our nation's achievement of educational excellence. ISS EarthKAM is one
of the many programs supported by NASA in the attainment of this mission.
NASA both sponsors ISS EarthKAM and actively participates in the program as one
of the four partners. NASA funds ISS EarthKAM through the offices of Human
Resources and Education, Earth Science, and Human Exploration and the
Development of Space. The NASA Field Centers, and especially the Johnson
Space Center and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, support the program and the
participating schools. And of course, NASA flies the ISS EarthKAM camera on
Space Shuttle missions and the International Space Station.

Center for Earth and Space Science Education
TERC is a not-for-profit education company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They seek
to help transform science education from a passive "reading
about science" to an active process of actually "doing science." Their work
features innovative curriculum, technology and pedagogy that engage
students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
Part of TERC, the Center for Earth and Space Science Education (CESSE) is
one of the world's leading research and development centers for pre-college
Earth and space science education. CESSE coordinates the education element
of NASA ISS EarthKAM. They manage production of the Educator's Guides and other
learning activities. Additionally, they work with the NASA Field Centers to support the
ISS EarthKAM schools throughout the year and oversee the investigations
processs, a key part of belonging to the ISS EarthKAM Community.

Texas A & M University
Texas A&M University is the newest partner in the ISS EarthKAM project. It
is the institutional home of the Geography Education National
Implementation Project (GENIP). GENIP through Texas A&M
partnered with NASA to create a set of curriculum support materials called
Mission Geography to provide K-12 students with hands-on geography lessons
set in the context of NASA research and missions. Many of these modules
involve interpreting satellite imagery. Existing Mission Geography modules
will be adapted to take advantage of the large database of ISS EarthKAM
images. These investigations will be incorporated into the ISS EarthKAM
curriculum.
